RAMI SHAMI, B.Sc., P.C.H., R.N.C.P, R.C.S.Hom.
After a lifelong struggle with Crohn’s disease Rami was introduced to the incredible world of holistic health. Rami’s journey began as a young student when he first volunteered as a palliative caregiver at Hospice of Peel. It was there that he was deeply moved by the strength of the human spirit, especially in the body’s power to heal itself. With a desire to continue to help those in need, Rami spent a year in East India serving in a community hospital and delivering medical supplies to surrounding villages. It was at that time he encountered the ancient healing arts of Ayurveda and yoga, as well as Homeopathy. After witnessing the positive effects of these modalities, Rami returned home resolved to study the natural healing arts. He completed his studies in Human Biology at the University of Toronto and enrolled at the Homeopathic College of Canada. He continued to serve the terminally ill, with a special focus on children, for which he was honored to receive the June Callwood Award in 2005 and the Civic Award in 2006. Through a combination of homeopathic treatment and a complementary nutritional protocol, Rami has been symptom free of his condition for over 5 years. The greatest reward for him has been to help those in sickness for which all other avenues have failed. With a special interest in chronic, degenerative conditions, as well as anxiety and depression, Rami utilizes homeopathy and nutrition in providing a well-rounded scope of care.
Rami is a classically trained Homeopath and Registered Holistic Nutritionist. He is a graduate and certified instructor at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. He is also a registered member of the Canadian Society of Homeopaths, the West Coast Homeopathic Society, and the International Organization of Nutritional Consultants. He has studied homeopathy at the Homeopathic College of Canada, The Dynamis School of Advanced Homeopathic Studies, The Masters Clinician Course and the Devon School of Homeopathy. Rami also serves on the Canadian Society of Homeopaths’ Board of Directors as the Public Awareness and Education delegate. |
